BlackBerry-maker Research In Motion says that the new Sony Ericsson P990 (at right) and M600 phones will support the BlackBerry Connect push email platform.
Both phones run on the enhanced Symbian OS version 9.1 platform.
In addition to BlackBerry
Connect, BlackBerry Enterprise Server capabilities will also be offered on these devices. Both RIM and Sony Ericsson
say these features will include wireless calendar synchronization; remote look-up of corporate email address directory;
triple DES encryption; and IT policy enforcement and commands (such as disabling or even wiping a stolen device
clean).
No pricing info yet, but we do know that both the Sony Ericsson P990 and the Sony Ericson M600 phones are expected to be released sometime in the second quarter of this year.
I'd bet late April or early May.
